Tips from our Expert Technicians: Nontoxic removal of stains

Here are a few nontoxic stain removal options. No need to use harsh chemicals in your home or office!

  • Club soda

  • White distilled vinegar

  • Salt

  • Hydrogen peroxide

  • Castile soap

Club Soda

Club soda is great for beverage stains. It has the lifting power to remove wine stains! Begin with boiling water. We recommend holding the item above a sink and carefully pour the water above the stain. Rinse the area with club soda and blot the stain until it is gone.


White Distilled Vinegar

White distilled vinegar is known to lighten. Be careful when using vinegar. It is best to dilute with water. Use in a spray bottle for more targeted needs.


Salt

Salt is not just for food but can be utilized for eliminating sweat stains. Simply soak the item with enough water to submerge completely. Then pour about 1/2 cup of salt and let sit for approximately an hour. After, wash the item as normal either by machine or by hand.


Hydrogen Peroxide

This common household product can be used for odor removal, maintaining white clothes, lightening and removing tough stains. Soak the item in the same fashion as the salt. Add 1/2 cup of hydrogen peroxide and let sit for about 30 minutes. Then wash as normal.


Castile Soap

If you are looking for a mild soap, this product is what you can use. Just use lukewarm water and a cloth to gently clean your space.


Stains can be tough but your cleaners do not have to be! Treating a stain as soon as possible with yield the best results.
