1. Rest

This one is obvious but, in our hustle, and bustle world it's easy to feel like you’re “supposed” to be doing something. Don’t let all that rushing get in the way of actually resting. Plan a block of time even if it’s just the same 30 minutes a day you would have spent cleaning and plan something restful or entertaining. Never underestimate the power of some skin care, a glass of wine, an episode of your favorite show, and some good old-fashioned intention. 

2. Friends & Family 

Time is a finite resource, and you just got more of it. What better way to reinvest that time than to spend more time with those that matter most to us? Maybe it's as simple as a phone call to a relative that lives far away or an extra coffee date with a friend. You can never go wrong with a night out on the town with your partner. Perhaps you have the time and energy to actually plan that weekend getaway. Fingers crossed this one makes it out of the group chat!

3. Read a Book

I’m pretty sure everyone is guilty of buying that best seller or self-help book and it turns into nightstand decor. Use your new chunk of extra time to dust off that book (or buy a new one, I won’t tell) and be on your way to a lovely fictional escape or space of learning and growth. Whether you're increasing your knowledge base with some non-fiction or increasing your empathy with fiction, reading will probably feel better than doom scrolling.

4. Hobbies

The first thing to hit the back burner when life gets busy always seems to be the things we do in our “spare time”. Even when we have spare time, convincing ourselves to engage with our hobbies can be difficult. By hiring a cleaning service you’ve invested money to buy yourself some time. What better excuse do you need to finally engage with your favorite hobby? So go use those crafting supplies or show up to your local recreation league of that sport you still love. You deserve to actually use your spare time.
